Author Review

Jeffery Deaver writes well thought out, intricate stories. The "bad guy" is usually quite intelligent, you never know if he/she will succeed. I like that his novels are often longer than most, but never boring- always keeping you interested until the end. He is the author that wrote The Bone Collector, which was made into a movie starring Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. 04.02.08

The Cold Moon

Published by Simon & Schuster 2006, paperback Pocket Books 2007
Characters: Lincoln Rhyme & Amelia Sachs

Go figure. Amelia Sachs seemingly unrelated case just so happens to be connected with Lincoln Rhyme's clock case. I'm shocked.
Okay, not really. But I do love how Deaver thinks that his readers are so gullible as to not connect the dots in his first few chapters. Other than the duh factor, The Cold Moon is actually a great book. I just wish that Deaver could show more of the relationship between Sachs and Rhyme. I'm sure I'm not the only reader who wonders what exactly is going on with that relationship! 03.31.08

This one keeps going and going. It keeps you interested until the end, but has enough "stops" that you can actually put it down and go to bed and then resume reading the next day. Each part leaves you satisfied, but it is so good you still pick it back up to continue on the next turn. 04.02.08
