Author Review Stuart Woods is an accomplished author with more published books than I can count. He writes solid detective/lawyer mysteries with logical/believable outcomes. His are not so scary that you have to worry about sleeping at night, but suspenseful nonetheless. 03.30.08 Author's Re-occurring Characters Stone Barrington Fresh Disasters This novel kept my interest and was an easy read. Compared to a lot of books, I found myself laughing out loud at some of the things the characters said - they were so lifelike and believable. The "sleazy but clueless con man", Herbie Fisher, is such a likable nim-wit he reminds me of the old Mister Magoo cartoon (only Herbie is much younger!). 03.30.08
